Mathematics Department
• Department was established in the year 1970.
• Offers undergraduate in both aided and self-financing stream and postgraduate
in self-financing stream.
• Aims to promote excellence in learning and teaching Mathematics.
• Conducts various guest lectures and seminars for the students.
• To prepare students to have a sound foundation in Mathematics .
• To enable the students to appreciate the intrinsic aspects of Mathematics .
• To cultivate the skills which will enable the students to continue in self-education.
The Mathematics Association "MATHZEST" organizes
• Special Lectures, Workshops, National seminars / Symposia on various current topics in Mathematics .
• Intercollegiate competitions such as Mathmind,Olympiad,Paper presentation etc annually.
• The department also has a varied collection of Text books and Reference books which are lent to the students for their reference.
