NSS ACTIVITIES FOR THE YEAR 2009-2010

Service to mankind is service to God is the right adage goes along with our Nss students. Our Nss volunteers have done oodles of services to the society especially in and around Kancipuram District. They had nursed inpatients of Hindu Mission Hospital,. Egmore Children’s Hospital and Atheeswarar Charitable Trust for Children at Mudichur. Traffic Signal Day, Road Safety Week were also celebrated by NSS volunteers. They rendered innumerable services at St.Louis Deaf and Blind School, Adyar, Akshaya Old Age Home, Thirusulam, Good Life Centre Orphanage, Tambaram, Presidency and Quaide-Millath College.

They arranged books at Connemara Library and donated nearly 10,000 books to the University Book Bank Project. Red Ribbon Day was celebrated with great significance. They organized blood donation camp in collaboration with Hindu Mission Hosptial and Lion’s Club. In collaboration with Rose Driving School our students paved a way to their counterparts to get driving licence and also taught our students the essence of savings by making them to open SB ZERO Account Balance in KVB.
