between obstacle and opportunity and are able to turn both
to their advantage”
Our college has been spearheading entrepreneurship movement with a notion that
entrepreneurs need not necessarily be born, but can be developed through well-conceived
and well-directed activities.In consonance with this belief, WEDC conducted various
classes to train the students.They are: doll making, glass painting, artificial jewellery
making, pot painting, block printing, making eco-friendly bags, vegetable carving and embossed painting.
‘Coats India’ in collaboration with ‘Kumudham Snehidhi’ conducted a
workshop on EMBROIDERY on 19.2.2011 on the college premises. Nearly 120 students participated. They were trained in
Anchor free-style embroidery, Counted thread embroidery, Kasuthi with mirror work, Kundan stonework and Chamundi stitches.
WEDC is going to be a trend-setter for those who want to whet their entrepreneurial
skills.
