The vaish consumer club was inaugurated by Dr.Shanthanarajan, Director, Consumer Association of India(CAI) and he spoke on Food Safety and Food Adultaration. A training programme was also conducted on " Consumer rights - its protection" and "Consumer Awareness on safety with regard to cosmetics" by Mr. Krishnan, Deputy Director, CAI, and Dr. Shanthanarajan, Director, CAI. A survey on "Consumer Awareness on Insurance" was carried out by our students in association with Consumer Association of India.
The "Vaishnav Consumer Club" organised awareness rally on "Food Adulteration" on 13th December 2017. More than 75 Consumer Club members of Vaishnav College participated in the rally. The students were sensitized on the food products through the campaign.
