B.Com (Information System and Management)

The course, B.Com (Information System and Management) was started in the year 2004 as B.Sc. (Information System and Management) degree changed as B.Com ISM from 2012). It covers two different branches, namely, Information Systems and Management.

About BISM  

Our curriculum is designed in such a way that students can either choose accounting line or computing line.In every semester, students will be studying both commerce subjects as well as computer subjects. We provide fully equipped computer lab.

She is required to do Internship for a month in a company which helps her to gain practical knowledge. She also undertakes ‘project’ in her sixth semester which again gives her knowledge about practical research work.

To gain inputs about various fields, seminars by eminent personalities and guest lectures by experts are arranged for the students. Our students have been placed in big companies like Wipro, TCS, CTS, Sutherland, Accenture etc., Even some of them have honed their entrepreneur skills and have become successful ‘Women Entrepreneurs’.

B Com (ISM) focuses on computer programming and applications, knowledge of accounts, management of finance, human resource and marketing, and developvarious statistical, quantitative and research techniques.

·         VaishComfest 2015-16 MINDSPARK – the annual commerce fest was inaugurated by CS.C.Ramasubramaniam, Council Member, ICSI. He spoke about women’s empowerment.

·         Mrs.ChithraAnantharaman, Deputy Director, SIRC, ICSI, spoke about the career oppurtunities available in various sectors.

·         Students from 30 colleges participated in various events. The overall trophy was won by SIVET college.

·         MOU was signed with Institute of Cost Accountants of India during June of 2015

·         MOU was signed with ICSI on 9 June, 2016.
