The Rotaract club of the college was officially installed on 17.02.2016. by Rtn. Mrs. PARKAVI(Rotaract Chair) and Rtn. Mr. SESHA SAI(Youth Service Director) in our college indoor stadium. In this meeting a brief note about the essentials and the purpose of rotaract club was given and the office bearers were officially honoured with collar to the president and badges to other office bearers.
Rotaract club of International conducted an event Ananda diwali for physically and mentally challenged children on 22.10.2016 at VGP Universal kingdom. 36 Rotaractors went as organisers and guided the children. Certificates were distributed for the girls who took part in the event
Back to School Days was held on October 16, 2016 at MCT Muttaiya Chettiyar boys school conducted by Rotaract of Vishwahita and our chapter was one among them . It was proud to take active participation in the event as organisers and it was a grand success. Furnitures were supplied to the mentally retarded students of OCEANOUS SCHOOL AT SENJI. Many Rotaracters from our college attended the event and participated in many games. We won 1st prize in tug of war, runner up in throw ball, and 2nd place in uri adi. Winners were honoured with certificates and medals.
Blood donation camp was held on 23.9.16 along with NSS. Many of our girls voluntarily donated the blood.
30 Rotaractors of our college participated in the Breast Cancer Awareness Rally on 23.10.2016 at Elliots Beach, Besant Nagar.
Fanaa was a cultural event conducted by ROTARACT CLUB OF GREEN GALAXY on sept.18 2016 at Monfort school at St.Thomas Mount. Over 67 Rotaractors from our college participated in many events and won prizes in poster designing, bridal makeup, pot pourri. etc,. Our college won the best supportive college and won the over all championship for the year.
Glitzz 2016 is a cultural event for a cause for Conserving water!!Conserving life!! event was held on october 9 2016 at Ethiraj college for women.The event was conducted by RC of chennai and RC of Ethiraj college and other clubs. Our college participated in many cultural event and won prizes.We won 1st place for dress the mermaid.15 Rotaracters participated in many events.Winners were provided with certificates
The third project pertained to a welfare school at Naagalkeni with a batch of 60 rotaractors directed by the office bearers along with coordinators.
This camp was mainly organised to develop the communication skills of the welfare school students which in turn helped the rotaractors to enhance their capability.
Various activities were performed and some fun games were conducted and prizes were given.
