ENVIRON CLUB

A model rain water harvesting system has been put in place in S.D.N.B Vaishnav College for women in Chrompet. The system will not only help in saving rain water but also in adding to the greenery in the 10 acre college premises. This rainwater harvesting system is based on Japanese technology.

Our Vaishnav Environ club was inaugurated by Dr.P.Narasimhan, Associate professor, Madras Christian College. To create awareness and to educate every individual about the rights and duties of the environment and environmental issues, one day seminar on “Environment” was conducted. Various eminent speakers like, Dr.Sudhakar, Joint Director, CP arts centre, Chennai; Dr.KuttiRani, professor, Mr.Indra Kumar, President, Exonara; insisted the environmental facts for the benefit of the future pollution less, poisonless environment, our club conducted it’s valedictory meeting by Dr.shrishailappa badami, Managing Director, Chaitanya Vikas, Karnataka. As a small contribution to the future, today’s students of environ club will join hands together to bring a bright green environment of tomorrow.
