NCC REPORT FOR THE YEAR 2010-2011

         Sound mind in sound body is an adapt adage goes with our NCC cadets. The 1(TN) AIR SQN NCC of SDNB VAISHNAV COLLEGE FOR WOMEN comprises of 35 cadets. First years 16 cadets, Second years 10, Third years 9.In the year 2010-11 our cadets successfully attended various camps contacted by the NCC Directorate of TAMILNADU, PONDICHERRY, ANDAMAN & NICOBAR.We are proud to place our record that Senior cadets have qualified in 'B' Certificate and 'C' Certificate examination.

Achievements:
         * In COMBINED ANNUAL TRAINNING CAMP (CATC) conducted at SATHYABAMA UNIVERSITY, Solingnallur from 21-6-2010 to 30-6-2010. Kiruthika.K, Deepalakshmi.T, Brindha.S, Abinaya.S, Ranjani.M, Priyadharshini.D, Prathusha Devi.K, Raksha.R, Krupa.S, Devaki.S, Ambika.S Gracy Emelda.J were participated.

         * In [VSC] IGC Camp held In PONDICHERRY from 7-8-2010 to 17-8-2010. Kiruthika.K has won second place in Firing (Range and Skeet), Gracy Emelda.J has won second place in drill compitition, Ranjani.M has won second place in Firing (Skeet), Ambika.S has won second place in Flying and they won GOLD medal in Group song and Dance.

         * In VSC LAUNCH TRAINING CAMP Kiruthika.K, Gracy Emelda.J, Ambika.S were participated in TAMBARAM AIRFORCE Station.

         * In VAYUSANIC Camp [VSC] Ambika.S the only cadet who participated in the main camp held in BANGALORE.

         * In RDC Pre IGC 1 Camp, Deepalakshmi.T, Abinaya.S, Raksha.R, Krupa.S, Priyadharshini.D, Prathusha Devi.k, Devaki.S were participated which was held in KANCHEEPURAM from 20-8-2010 to 29-8-2010.

         * In RDC Pre IGC 2 Camp, Deepalakshmi.T, Abinaya.S, Raksha.R, Krupa.S, Priyadharshini.D, Prathusha Devi.k, Devaki.S were participated which was held in KANCHEEPURAM from 1-9-2010 to 10-9-2010.

         * In RDC Pre IGC 3 Camp, Deepalakshmi.T, Abinaya.S, Raksha.R, Krupa.S, Priyadharshini.D, Prathusha Devi.k, Devaki.S were participated which was held in KANCHEEPURAM from 16-9-2010 to 25-9-2010.

         * In RDC IGC Camp, Deepalakshmi.T, Abinaya.S, Raksha.R, Krupa.S, Priyadharshini.D, Prathusha Devi.k, Devaki.S were participated and won 3rd place in Contigent Drill, 1st place in Group song, 2nd place in Group dance, 1st place in Flag Area and Line Area,1st place in NIAP [Main-Abinaya.S and Priyadharshini.D]. In PM Rally Raksha.r [Main PlugCard Holder] and Prathusha Devi.K were participated and won SILVER Medals. Abinaya.S got 1st place in Cherry Blossom.

         * In Pre RDC Abinaya.S, Raksha.R, Priyadharshini.D, Prathusha Devi.k were participated. The camp was held in Trichy from 12-11-2010 to 21-11-2010.

         * In CULTURALS CAPSULE CAMP, Prathusha Devi.K was the only cadet who took part in Balley dance competition which was held in PONDICHERRY from 25-11-2010 to 4-12-2010.

         * In SSB Coaching Camp, Abinaya.S is the only cadet who attended the camp in Officer Training Academy Gwalior from 2-01-11 to 16-01-11and who participated in Individual Drill, obstacles, Extempo, Trekking and culturals.

         * In MARINA REPUBLIC DAY PARADE, Raksha.R, krupa.S, Abinaya.S, kruthika.K, Priyadharshini.D, Gracy Emelda.J, Deepalakshmi.T were participated in the parade on 26-01-11 representing 1(TN) AIR SQN NCC Chennai.
