Union Activities

Orientation for the first years was conducted on 20 June 2011. The students were informed about the various facilities in college and the various clubs and associates in which they can actively participate. The parents who accompanied their wards were given a very warm welcome.

The fresher day was celebrated on 27 June 2011 and the seniors welcomed the fresher by presenting them variety entertainment leaving behind wonderful memories in the hearts of every one.

Dr.Shri.T.Padmanaban, vice chancellor, TamilNadu Teachers Education University, inaugurated the college union on 14 July 2011. He highlighted about the necessity to educate women.

Independence Day was celebrated with patriotic fervor. The Principal, the union, the staff and the students celebrated the day with great pride and patriotism.

Sri Krishna Jayanthi, was celebrated on 19 august 2011.Mrs.A.Uma (rtd) Sanskrit professor,SDNB Vaishnav College, spoke on the life and teachings of Lord Krishna.

5 September 2011 will be cherished as a memorable day in the an nab of SDNB Vaishnav College. A burst of exuberance was showcased by staff and students on the occasion of Teacher’s Day. A zestful and brow raising performance was displayed by professors making the students gape in awe.

To commemorate the birth anniversary of our founder Sri Nanalal Bhatt a blood donation camp was organized in collaboration with Lions Blood Bank T Nagar on 22 September 2011. Students voluntarily donated blood in large numbers. A slogan writing and poster making competition was also conducted to create awareness and emphasize the importance of blood donation. As a part of Founder’s Day celebration a brief life history of the founder and his philanthropic activities were highlighted by Rtd Prof A.K.Janaki (Dept of History, SDNB Vaishnav College). The Founder’s Day was celebrated in an ideal and apt way.
